Most of you will recall our requests for prayers for one of my young colleague’s (a former student’s) father. His father passed away recently from Covid while trying to reach people along the border with India during the Pandemic after many days in the hospital. We have a memorial for him here. As the eldest son, he now has to take up responsibilities for everything in the family and ministry plus continue his education and work. He recently was blessed with a wonderful opportunity and goes for an interview for the next step next week.
However, he just messaged me, like most people these days and many of us included, he is sick and now running a fever. Tests are not as easy to come by here and few get tested until need be, but considering so much has been placed upon his shoulders in the wake of his father’s passing, it is troubling indeed for him and his family to endure this moment. So we are asking everyone to join us in prayers. Thankfully, most of us have been sick or are sick and seem to be fine not knowing what it is presently.
It could turn out to be the same for him, but he is feeling extra concern with the recent passing of his father and so much load to bear. We ask for special prayers for him and his family as they are a very special group of people. There’s a shortage of fever medicine in the country at the moment. Fortunately, he was able to finally acquire some.
My family stateside is getting hit hard with one thing after another. Things are just not letting up. I’d appreciate prayers for them, too. It’s not been the best of days in quite some time. They need to see a lil’ ray of sunshine.
