As planned, the doctoral work is completed. It is official. I have earned my Ph.D. Also, this week I have left my former duties in teaching at a lower level to pave way for more indigenous instructors to be utilized.
I have started teaching the teachers. I am teaching in the MTh hybrid program here. It is designed specifically to teach those who teach in institutions of higher academics in Nepal. I hope by leaving my former position not only will they be able to utilize someone in my place who needs the position, but it will free me up to be more active in producing much-needed content.
I have seen that the rigors of teaching too much or being in administration positions can leave one too occupied to stay current with the most recent research. I do not wish to lose the perspective I have fought so hard to gain. I must now work to cull my life down to allow room for appropriate research.
